J’aime ma vie! Et j’adore la planete.
I love my life! And I love the planet.
At Paul Lafayet, we take care of what we love - our family, our friends, and our Earth. To show our commitment to caring for the planet, we’re pleased to introduce our sustainability programs.
Ceramic Container Recycling Program
For all of our Crème Brûlée and Tiramisu lovers with a growing collection of Paul Lafayet ceramic containers at home, bring back 8 ceramic containers to redeem 1 Crème Brûlée! Containers returned to us are cleaned, sterilised, and given another life as part of another fine French dessert.
We understand that for all of its benefits, ceramic can be a heavy material. Bring in the ceramic containers at your convenience! Whether it’s one at a time or two by two, our shop staff will provide you with a stamp card to track your recycling progress.
Eco-friendly Packaging Transformation Project
We understand the perils of Single Use Plastic, which is why we came up with the following guidelines to transform our approach to packaging.
Natural Materials
Our signature crème brûlée dish is ceramic for a reason - it’s durable, it’s natural, and most importantly, it’s reusable. Whether you decide to collect and trade them in for a complimentary crème brûlée or use them as a jewellery tray, paperclip holder, or dipping sauce dish, they were made to be more than just a vessel for our french fine desserts.
Additionally, we use paper and bamboo packaging when appropriate, and provide wooden cutlery to all of our customers.
Bamboo Paper
Wherever possible, we are opting for paper made of bamboo fibre. Bamboo grows at 2-3 times the speed of trees used for paper pulp. This means that this natural fibre can be harvested and replenished much faster than trees.
Reuse and Recycle
We want to close the loop. Instead of materials going to landfills, we are committed to using packaging made of recycled materials and is made to be recycled once more.
